Sixteen teams totaling more than one hundred combo doubles players participated in the 2nd Annual A’s & Aces Charity Tournament at University Tennis Center October 16-18. 

Michael Lockhart led the Six Amigos over the Audubon Park TC team to win the 7.5 championship and Kim Rogers captained Team RMI to the title in the men’s 8.5 division.  Captain Kellie Hardie led the Fallen Aces to an exciting victory in the 6.5 division which was decided by a third set tie-breaker in the final match against Vincitizice E Vino.  Nicole Smith guided her Smith Team to victory over the Smash Girls in the women’s 7.5 event and Sets in the City finished third.

A's & Aces celebrated its 2nd Annual Gala on the evening of October 17 at Generations Hall. Nearly 180 donors, board members, and friends of A's & Aces turned out to support our mission to provide academic assistance, life skills and tennis instruction to New Orleans public school children. The highlight of the evening was a silent and live auction presenting nearly 140 items.
