PROGRAMS & EVENTS

A'S & ACES' AFTER/IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING Academic Year of 2009-2010 A's & Aces serves kindergarten through fourth grade inner-city children at five elementary schools using QuickStart Tennis during in-school and after-school programming. Children participating in the program benefit in the following ways: literacy skills are enhanced through regular interaction with reading coaches, tennis skills are learned that enable participants to enjoy the sport, and lives are enriched having spent time focusing on the importance of developing good-character skills. Though A’s & Aces programs provide each participant with equal portions of academic/life-skills support and tennis, models differ at each school as schools have different resources and environments.
