A’s & Aces Career Development Initiative developed to prepare exceptional participants of high school status for the leadership and responsibility of being a tennis coach while training to improve their own tennis game.

Annual STA NJTL Leadership Camp
Each year, A’s & Aces selects participants to represent our organization at the annual STA NJTL Leadership Camp. This four-day event brings together youth from across the USTA Southern Section for a series of activities focused on leadership development, tennis, and academics. In 2024, A’s & Aces had the honor of hosting the camp in New Orleans.

Summer Career Development:
Summer opportunities are available through Tulane WaveCorps and the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Participants spend 6-8 weeks working with children in camp settings, while also having the opportunity to develop their own tennis skills.
Positions for Summer 2027 will open in early spring 2027.

STA Tennis Apprentice Program
​Supported by the Southern Tennis Association (STA), A’s & Aces offers Tennis Apprentice positions for those who are new to coaching. Apprentices gain hands-on experience working with our children, develop foundational coaching and teaching skills, and explore coaching as a potential career pathway, personal avocation, or way to serve the community.
