LEARN HOW YOU CAN HELP YOUR CHILD'S TENNIS
Parents of our participating student-athletes are, in many respects, our most important partners.
The Parent Info page is intended as a resource help our parents to be more comfortable in their role as "tennis parents" and to aid them in their efforts to help their children learn about the sport. The Parent Info page providess information about many tennis related subjects, including;
. where to search for tournaments that your child may enter,
. how to apply for A's & Aces' need-based tournament scholarships and travel stipends,
. how to explore opportunities to donate or receive “gently used” equipment, clothes, and shoes for a child.
Additionally there are hyperlinks to other resources, including:
. the complete rules of tennis,
. instructional videos,
. USTA Louisiana state rankings, and
. NJTL National Student-Athlete Competition standings.
Continuing to improve tennis skills takes lots of practice. It means mastering the basics and finding your own style. USTA Player Development videos are a great way for parents to learn many of the skills that we are teaching your children. Check them out on our "Parent Training Info" page.
The Parent Council page explains the need for parental support that is essential to the success of our student-athletes and to the health of our organization, describes various ways to be involved, including:
. Advocacy:
. Feedback:
· Fundraising: Assist A’s & Aces with fundraising efforts.
